Looking for classroom sets of books, try Learning Resources at BOCES. This year the large book kits in a bag have been broken up into individual copies of the book. You can request the number needed. This makes more copies available for others to use. Go to this link:
caboces.org/iss/resources
Type in the title you need in the search box on the right. This will search everything in both the professional library and the media library. If you're not sure what title you want but have a teacher looking for suggestions, just type multiple copies in the search box and see what titles are available in multiple copies. You do not need a medianet account to search, but you will need one to request the titles.
Another place to check is right here on the wiki. If you look to the left, you will see "Multiple Copies". This selection will bring up an Excel spreadsheet of the sets found in some of the districts.

I hope to see everyone tomorrow!

Infotopia. info has put together a resources page for the upcoming 2012
U.S. presidential election. It can be found here:

In terms of issues it is fairly comprehensive, especially the Procon.org
link.

Each August for the past 11 years, Beloit College in Beloit, Wis., has released the Beloit College Mindset List. It provides a look at the cultural touchstones that shape the lives of students entering college. It is the creation of Beloit’s Keefer Professor of the Humanities Tom McBride and Public Affairs Director Ron Nief. The List is shared with faculty and with thousands who request it each year as the school year begins, as a reminder of the rapidly changing frame of reference for this new generation.
